From blank in hand to a print-ready canvas in under a minute.
01
Wrap a flexible tape, or a strip of paper, around the widest printable part, and measure the printable height straight up the side.
02
Start from a preset so the fields are pre-filled, then correct them with your measurements. Ruler instead of tape? Switch to diameter. We do the π.
03
Wrap width with seam overlap (or mug panel with handle gap), in inches, cm and pixels @ 300 DPI, plus the taper verdict and whether it fits your printer's paper.
04
Create your canvas at the exact pixel size, keep key art inside the safe zone, then grab the temp & time in the Heat Press Finder and run the Press Timer.
Why measuring beats every template you can download.
The consensus default is 9.3 × 8.2 inches (2790 × 2460 px at 300 DPI). That's a ~9.05″ circumference plus a 0.25″ seam overlap. But “20oz skinny” is not one standard: Hogg, MakerFlo and Amazon blanks all differ slightly. Measure yours. A wrap that's an eighth-inch off shows a white gap or a double-printed seam.
Preset dimensions are verified consensus defaults, but blanks genuinely differ between brands, which is the whole reason this tool asks you to measure. Always test-fit a paper wrap before printing a batch.
